  1. That's pretty good archive material. I guess the reason you haven't been making any new posts is because you've ben making your new site? Very good.

Like the Powell Peralta stuff. I remember Tony Hawk had that bowl made upagainst a half pipe and he did some interesting stuff on it in black and white in slow-mo. Number 8 video?

I went to Australia recently to look around and it's laid out like a skatepark (the city centre) but nobody skates it. It's just too nice and new. Would be criminal damage. Quite a serious place. Don't want to be getting into trouble with the authorities in a place like that.... No-one gives a crap about America of course. Lol!!

  2. As we approached 09.11.01 (September the eleventh) the youth media was getting quite dark and menacing. Skateboarding too. Hip hop coming out then was dark and menacing.

Remember BUSTA RHYMES album and THE ROOTS and MOS DEF were bringing out really pychotic drug enduced rage music towards the west. And tunes like "BOMB THREATS" popped their heads up in skate vids. Mark Gonzales was exhibiting in New York when the attacks took place and his work was eerily prophetic and religious by nature. If you had your ear to the ground you could have fortold that something wasn't right. Something had to give/break and it did.
