  4. Dole is a derivitive of "the doldrums" when the trade winds didn't blow boats across seas you would have no trade so business was said to be in the doldrums. Without trade.

At least those people who live off benefits are honest in their poverty as opposed to the many people who go to work each day, achieve nothing and pay themselves salaries that they don't deserve. It is a fear of being out of work that drives people in this country.

The landless labourer, the disposessed, the peasant, the spiv, the chav has traditionally been the vulnerable group in society to fight and die for the country in the belief that they have no claim to it.

Centrally government funded autonomous agencies/groups (quangos) and other public sector activity are the people really fucking this country at the moment not people out of work whose income honestly reflects their efforts. The private sector is failing because of the pressure put upon it by the oversized, over spending public sector. It simply isn't profitable to work because there are so many people cheating which I'm sure will with time encourage inflation and an unsecure currancy.

This socialist economic situation stiffles true growth and competition within the country by people rewarding themselves for doing fuck all. That is the true meaning of the socialist state. You can no longer persecute the unemployed in what is becoming or even has become already a police state not dissimiler to how one might imagine the KGB in Russia or East Germany during the cold war when 1 in 3 people were basically spies or police.

Margret Thatcher's government is responsible for this way of living by basically increasing the spending power of the individual so some people didn't have to work so hard, the free market. I know my parents did quite well from the "free market" as business people excercising considerable spending power as "the spoils of war" so to speak but it's criminal in my mind and goes against my national values which is why we are regressing to an Orwellian state. Happiness is a product of delusion as the Koran says.

  5. My agenda if I were to run for government would not to be to reduce public spending but to manage public spending better. All that money going to people in public sector jobs as stated above, going to work for the sake of going to work I would make unemployed.

I'd give all the saved money from no longer paying these parasites of society to the unemployed so that someone can become unemployed without fear of starving to death or having baliffs, banks and police harassing them. They'd be poor but at least it would be a feasible option. No borrowing, no other hand outs, you're broke and out of work, now look for a real job. Maybe people would begin to enjoy life a bit more and the pub trade would pick up rather than the insanity of trying to be employed when the jobs simply aren't there. We don't need 20000 people to run Nottingham with high level security systems on the doors to their offices because they know that what they're doing is nothing far short of criminal.

Then the prospect of actually achieving something and trying to make money through doing something useful and profitable will become a goal worth persuing.

The concept of the nation state needs to be reinforced. I can't be dealing with buying a car from China or runner beans from Africa. Economically it might make sense but in terms of transporting stuff half way around the globe we must wake up to the fact we need to be self sufficient to a greater degree as a country to make sense in practical terms with regard to our environment and (call me a hippy) but in terms of Karma and spiritual terms and in terms of self respect as a nation. It would appear a far more adult and mature thing to do as a society. Pay people whatever it takes to get things done in this country without starving or flogging some homeless guy in Papa New Guinea who probably couldn't give a fuck about England or what it represents and I don't blame him. Probably planning to bomb us I don't blame him either. Just leave these people the fuck alone.

The smoking ban is a shit idea, I'm a none smoker but even so it pisses me off. The government can't and shouldn't be allowed to treat the public like children. Again the public sector sticking it's nose into people's lives who can see no farther than that smoking behind the back of the bike sheds at school was a bad thing.

Get out ! on the dole you mamby pamby pieces of shit, in the real world, in people's real lives death is a factor that is of the utmost important to getting things done. The fear of death and a relationship with your own mortality is a healthy thing. It makes people do stuff. Some people (like our good friend Leonard Cohen) live each day of their lives as if they are on the front line. This is how real stuff gets done, not just pissing about in an office with a bunch of fuckin cry babies saping the life out of society and in a wider context the world.

Perhaps military rule wouldn't be such a bad thing for this country for a short amount of time to get things back to something resembling a sensible way to run a country?
